Staying MOTIVATED when exercising at home…..

Working out at home is convenient, but if you’re not careful, it’s easy to not do it. After all, the only person holding you accountable while you exercise in your living room is yourself!

Here are a few tips to help keep you on track:

1. Make an exercise schedule, and stick to it

How many days a week do you want to work out? Get really clear on this ahead of time—then actually schedule your workouts in your calender.

2. Do something that you like.

There is no point doing an exercise DVD if you feel silly doing it in front of the TV, maybe a long walk is better or you may have a treadmill or bike you can use.

3. Create Goals

Goals will keep you motivated, because you’ll always be working toward something tangible rather than just exercising because you know you should be. Goals can be anything, small or big—you might have a goal to be able to do 10 toe push ups  in a row without stopping.

4. Keep a record

This might be a waist measurement, body fat %  number, some photos something that over a couple of months will show you progress. If you see some results it will motivate you to continue with you little at home workouts.

5. Give yourself rewards

Try setting a number of days you want to exercise for and give yourself some kind of reward when you meet your goal. This could be a new top, a new piece of home exercise equipment, new workout shoes or maybe a massage. make sure its something you really, really want.

You can do it!

Yes, working out alone and at home can be hard at times, but it is sooooo worth it when you see results 🙂
